Oklahoma Sooners Football | Trevor Knight On Why He Can Be The Man In 2015

Heading into the 2015 season, the Oklahoma Sooners have an open quarterback race. While it's nothing new, fans expect to see the Trevor Knight of the Sugar Bowl against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Having two years of starting experience, Knight could easily enter the upcoming season with the title of "starting quarterback."

The challenger is none other than Baker Mayfield, the 2013 Offensive Freshman of the Year at Texas Tech. Deciding to transfer, the talented signal caller sat out a year due to the transfer rule. Already gaining popularity and respect from fellow teammates, many fans would like to see a new quarterback take over after lackluster performances resulting in a bowl beating.

On the outside looking in sits Cody Thomas who resigned from baseball in order to focus on winning the starting job. Unfortunately for the kid, Bob Stoops hinted at Thomas being a step behind the other two. Things will continue to shake out but for now, who do you want to see trot out against the Akron Zips?

In addition to presenting a few reasons as to why he can be the man, Knight gives his outlook on the upcoming season as well as the new offense.
