Hoping to receive a bit of good news after losing Payton Pritchard's verbal commitment two weeks ago, Lon Kruger picked up another big time recruit. After deliberation with family, Kameron McGusty announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday via twitter.

According to ESPN, McGusty ranks in as the No. 40 overall prospect and the No. 8 shooting guard of the 2016 class. A lengthy and athletic player, McGusty could be a star in Lon Kruger's offense knowing the kid possesses the ability to create in transition as well as in the halfcourt. Naturally, the 4-star recruit would be expected to fill the position vacated by Buddy Hield or Isaiah Cousins after the upcoming season.

McGusty now joins 3-star recruit, Kristian Doolittle out of Edmond, OK, as the future of the program after picking OU over programs such as Texas, Indiana, Florida, and Louisville.
