There hasn't been a ton of close Bedlam games but recently the series has been a "must watch" game. In fact, the Sooners have only outscored the Cowboys 264-236 since 2008, and the series itself is 5-2 since that time. 2012 is a perfect example of just how competitive the series has become.
The game was played in Norman and had Big 12 title on the line for the Sooners, as they had to win out to clinch at least a share of the Big 12 title. But they found themselves down 17-3 in the second quarter, and it looked like Oklahoma might suffer their third home loss of the season to their rival.
Then came Landry Jones and Blake Bell's heroics late in regulation, followed by a huge touchdown run by Brennan Clay to win the game in overtime, 51-48. It took 51 points for the Sooners to beat the Cowboys, but they did it despite not leading until the game was over.
