Players from the Oklahoma Sooners continue to find themselves listed on preseason award watch lists.
On Friday, the Outland Trophy Watch List was released and featured OU's starting center, Ty Darlington, a 6-2 299-pound senior. The award is given to the nation's most outstanding interior lineman on an annual basis. Of course, this release came two days after Darlington was added to the Rimington Trophy Watch List.
As the year wears on, semifinalists will be determined followed by the finalists on November 24th. Finally we'll know who will be taking home the trophy on December 10th when athletes converge on Atlanta for the Home Depot College Football Awards.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Big XII put 11 total players on the Nagurski Trophy Watch List. Of the 11, the Oklahoma Sooners own four in Zack Sanchez, Eric Striker, Dominique Alexander, and Charles Tapper.
The finalists for the Nagurski Trophy will be announced on November 19th.
