Before dislocating a knee cap against Texas Tech, DeMarco Murray flashed brilliance in multiple facets of the game. With 15 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman, Murray tied the mark previously set by none other than Adrian Peterson (of course Samaje Perine smashed the school record with 21 as a true freshman in 2014). The effort on the field earned the future star honorable mentions around the conference as well as the nation.
However, before suffering a season ending injury, Murray broke off the third longest run in OU history with a 92-yard touchdown against Utah State.
