The Sooners first away game this season will be a late afternoon game, as they take on the Tennessee Volunteers at 5 p.m. CT and 6:00 p.m. ET. Tennessee and Oklahoma met last year in a 34-10 win in Norman, where the Sooners defense had one of their greatest performances of the season. The Sooners and Volunteers are both projected to be top 25 teams when the preseason polls come out. It could also potentially be selected for ESPN's College Gameday for week 3 of the college football season as well.
Tennessee finished with a record of 7-6 at the end of the 2014 football season and won four of their last five games. That included a bowl win against Iowa. The Volunteers are lead by running back Jalen Herd and quarterback Josh Dobbs, who did not start against Oklahoma last season.
Oklahoma takes on Tennessee in Knoxville on September 12th.
