Making his debut on September 1st of 2007, Sam Bradford led the Oklahoma Sooners to a 79-10 victory over North Texas.
During the route, Bradford tied a record set by previous Heisman winner Jason White completing 18 consecutive passes. Tallying up 363 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, the quarterback set the school record for most passing yards in a half.
However, Bradford was not the only star making his debut. Freshman DeMarco Murray crossed the goal line five times (four times in the first half). The effort marked the first time a Sooners would complete the feat in a debut appearance. It appeared as there would be no drop off after losing Adrian Peterson the previous year.
