It shouldn't surprise many that four star cornerback, Maurice Chandler, committed to the Sooners for the class of 2016. The product from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M committed to the Sooners earlier this afternoon via Twitter. The 6"1, 190 pound CB will join five other Sooners in the class of 2016 this far, making it six players overall. He picked Oklahoma over some very prestigious football schools like Oregon, Nebraska, TCU, and Texas A&M.
He announced his commitment on twitter with the following tweet
Proud to say I'm officially committing to Oklahoma University ✊ #CrimsonAndCream pic.twitter.com/9CDK9xQftr

The four star corner should help the Sooners in he defensive backfield once he gets in a Sooner uniform, as Zach Sanchez could bolt for the NFL following this season. The Sooners have a lot of young but talented defensive backs, and Chandler should fit well into Mike Stoop's aggressive defense. Chandler was the fourth rated cornerback in his class and second highest rated player in the state of Oklahoma.
