2015 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 99 Days!

In 2007, two of the best teams in the nation collided in the Cotton Bowl as the Texas Longhorns played host to the Oklahoma Sooners. Heading into the fourth quarter, Vondrell McGee scored tying the game at 21-21 while those in burnt orange went wild. Unfortunately for the folks south of the Red River, Sam Bradford connected tossed the game winning touchdown with just under eleven minutes to play.

On a star studded roster, one player that simply could not be overlooked was Juaquin Iglesias. Over the course of four quarters, Iglesias recorded a game high six receptions for 99 yards helping the #10 Sooners down the #19 Longhorns on October 6th, 2007.

Bouncing back from a loss the week prior, Oklahoma used the Red River Rivalry as a spring board to defeat consecutive ranked opponents. Building momentum, OU went on to win the Big XII South later defeating the #1 Missouri Tigers for the conference crown.
