The class of 2016 is in its infancy stage. There are still evaluations taking place, offers being sent out and everyone that is a part of the class has just completed or is about to complete their junior year of high school. Lots can happen between now and next February.

In the midst of a flurry of offers over the past few weeks, there are several players that the Sooners are really make big strides with. While it's still too early to know for sure where all these players will land, here are several players that the Sooners are really in the mix for.

1. LB Bryce Youngquist 6-2/210 from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Youngquist is a really athletic linebacker. The only thing keeping him from already stepping foot on the Sooner campus is the fact that he is from California. If there is any player that the Sooners would be in the mix if not leading for in California it would be him. If he makes it to the Sooner campus this summer, then I wouldn't be shocked to see him end up a part of the class of 2016.

2. OL Denzel Okafor 6-4/290 from Lewisville, TX.

It's been a good couple of weeks for Okafor, picking up offers from LSU, Texas, and the Sooners. The Sooners are in good shape for the fast rising prospect. The Sooners need to get him on campus before his senior year starts. If they do, they should be right in the thick of things.

3. DL Xavier Kelly 6-5/250 from Wichita, KS

Kelly recently picked up his Sooner offer. While he will have the opportunity to basically attend any school he wants, it's hard to deny that Wichita is awfully close to Norman along with the Sooners track record inside Kansas. In fact if things continue to trend the way they are, I wouldn't be shocked to see him in our next class commitment predictions.

4. OL Parker  Boudreaux 6-5/290 from Orlando, FL.

It's hard to understate how good of a recruiter Bedenbaugh is for the Sooners. Parker is definitely trending more and more in the direction of the Sooners. While it's still to early to predict that he ends up in Norman, the Sooners are definitely strongly in the mix.

5. OL Jean Delance 6-5/270 from Mesquite, TX.

The former commit, found himself no longer a part of the class after the SAE incident. While I don't feel he will end up a Sooner again, Bedenbaugh hasn't given up.

I expect the Sooners to make his top 10. In fact, I believe they are firmly in the mix.
