Julian Wilson: Combine and Draft Overview

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Julian Wilson's time in Norman was filled with position switching. Originally recruited as a safety he found a niche as the nickle back in the 2013 season and had several bright moments. Before the 2014 season, Wilson was moved to cornerback and the results were a mixed bag at best.

I remember plays like this

and this

But those highs were also accompanied by some really bad lows. I fully believe that much of it was scheme and having Wilson play a position that he should never have played. Wilson would be much better suited as in the box safety or nickle back. Playing man defense on an island as a corner is definitely not his strong suit.

Wilson was invited to the combine and here were his results.
