It's on like Donkey Kong! The NCAA Tournament field is going to dwindle from 16 to 8, and then to 4, and it's gonna happen this weekend, starting tonight. I'm not really sure that you can look at the lineup of games and say there's a bad match-up out there. Here are the times, along with where to watch, tonight's games.
The Games
Game | Time | TV |
#7 Wichita State vs. #3 Notre Dame | 6:15 (CT) | CBS |
#4 North Carolina vs #1 Wisconsin | 6:47 (CT) | TBS |
#5 West Virginia vs. #1 Kentucky | 8:45 (CT) | CBS |
#6 Xavier vs. #2 Arizona | 9:17 (CT) | TBS |
The Odds
Game | Favorite | My Pick |
WSU vs. ND | Shockers (-2) | Irish |
UNC vs. Wisconsin | Badgers (-6.5) | Tar Heels |
WVU vs. Kentucky | Wildcats (-13) | Mountaineers |
Xavier vs. AZ | Wildcats (-11.5) | Wildcats |
Just to clarify a few things here. I believe that the Wichita State/Notre Dame game is going to be the best game of the evening. I've got the Irish pulling off what would be a minor upset, even though they are the higher ranked seed. I also have North Carolina pulling the upset tonight and bouncing the second #1 seed from the tournament. West Virginia intrigues me, and while I think they stay within 13 of Kentucky, I think they say goodbye to their basketball season tonight.
