In the midst of a crazy day of March Madness, some big recruiting news broke. The Sooners will be hosting one of the top running backs in the class of 2016 in Devwah Whaley.
Gerry Hamilton of ESPN.com confirmed the visit with the following tweet.
#ESPNJr300 RB @devwah_whaley (Beaumont/Central) scheduled to visit #Oklahoma #Sooners Friday-Saturday. http://t.co/a4ex2LEDBP

Devwah Whaley (6-0/200) is from Beaumont, TX and has offers from school such as Alabama, ASU, Arkansas, Baylor, UGA, Ole Miss, Mizzou, TCU, Tennessee, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, and TTech to go along with his Sooner offer. He is a consensus 4 star recruit.
With the Sooners only wanting to take one running back in the class of 2016, an early commitment by Whaley could all but shut down recruiting at this position for the class of 2016. There is no indication as of yet that Whaley would commit, but it does appear to be first come, first serve for running backs Devwah Whaley, Abdul Adams, and Trayveon Williams.
Here is a short highlight film of Whaley in action.
