Oklahoma Sooners Baseball Takes Three Of Four From Hawaii

Rich DeCray - SBN

It's been thirty-three years since the OU baseball team has played in Hawaii and the Sooners made the most of their trip over the weekend. Jake Elliott, Jacob Evans, and Corey Copping all tallied wins for Oklahoma as they took their third consecutive series by a margin of three games to one.

OU won on Thursday (5-1), Saturday (8-5), and Sunday (6-3) with the lone defeat coming by way of a 2-1 decision on Friday.

Now the Sooners (15-8) have their sights set on Big 12 Conference play with the Texas Tech Red Raiders coming to Norman for a three-game series beginning on Friday March 20. Junior outfielder Craig Aikin is batting a team-high .368 and has crossed home plate 25 times, which is also a team high. Sophomore Sheldon Neuse (.318) has knocked in 24 RBI and has gone yard five times to lead the team in both categories. Aikin and Neuse are two of four OU batters hitting better than .300 on the season.
