The Sooners need for linebacker in the class of 2016 is big. While already having one commitment in Jon-Michael Terry, the Sooners have continued to evaluate and offer prospects for the class of 2016. That evaluation led to the offer of linebacker Pernell Jefferson. Pernell tweeted out the offer.

Jefferson plays for Warren East Senior High School in New Orleans, LA. He possesses great size 6-3/230 and he has some great film.

Pernell has offers from Miss St., Mizzou, TCU, Tulane, and now the Sooners. He was also the teammate of class of 2015 LB Arthur McGinnis.
It will be interesting to see if Jefferson wants to play with his teammate as the Sooner offer now gives him that chance. Should Pernell find himself apart of the class of 2016, he would fit in nicely at OLB.
