Oklahoma Sooners Climb To No. 21 In Latest AP Poll

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

Following consecutive losses, this Oklahoma Sooners team could have easily slipped out of the rankings. Instead, Lon Kruger regrouped posting a conference record for fewest points allowed against a league opponent. Riding high, the squad traveled to Stillwater knowing road wins are tough to come by. After a dismal first half performance the crimson and cream came out in the second with a new found energy. The effort led to a regular season sweep of rival, Oklahoma State and a boost in the rankings.
