Lon Kruger has his team sitting at 17-7 on the season and the second best record in Big 12 Conference play at 8-4. Fresh off a 94-83 win over Iowa State on Monday night, the Sooners have won five consecutive games and will now put their streak to the test on Saturday evening when they travel to Manhattan, Kansas to play the Wildcats.
Coach Kruger spent a few minutes of his time talking with me this week to talk about the Sooners' basketball program. Their current five-game win streak aside, we wanted to know what he likes about his team right now. I also talked with him about Ryan Spangler shooting three point shots, TaShawn Thomas going from being the star in Houston to being just one of the guys, the maturation of his guards, and going home to Kansas State this weekend.
