The Sooners have had mixed results when it comes to moving players to new positions. The ultimate success story would be that of Jamaal Brown who switched from DL to become an elite offensive tackle not only for the Sooners, but also in the NFL. The same goes for Lane Johnson (TE-OT-1st round pick). Now it appears the Sooners are once again attempting to strike gold with redshirt freshman defensive lineman Dwayne Orso-Bacchus. Orso-Bacchus was a 3-star recruit out Homewood, AL., who chose the Sooners over South Carolina. Bob Pryzbolo of Scout.com confirmed the move with the following tweet.
Not too much to learn from #Sooners practice. Dwayne Orso wearing No. 73, making that transition to OL— Bob Przybylo (@BPrzybylo) December 28, 2015
Orso has the size 6-5/300 and seemingly the athleticism to excel at offensive tackle.
This video seems to make the case he also has some pretty nice feet
