Everyone seemingly has that one gift they can't live without. We make wishlists and unwrap gifts. With that in mind, I thought it might be a good idea to take a look at what class of 2016 prospects are on the Sooners Christmas Recruiting Wishlist.
Any wishlist that doesn't include Kelly is incomplete. The California star has elite potential and is a vital part of the class of 2016. The Sooners competition for Kelly was long thought to be Michigan, but its looks like Notre Dame has emerged. The one constant on his list: OKLAHOMA.
Velus by all accounts should have already been a Sooner, but has since delayed his decision. In spite of the pessimism among some Sooner fans regarding Velus, I believe that he will end up a Sooner.
Davis is set to visit the weekend of January 22nd. It might end up being the case that the Sooners can't take both Davis (who was formerly committed to Texas A&M) and Jones, but I believe that you just can't turn down elite talent at the WR position.
This will be an incredibly difficult pull, as Price seemed thrilled with the Kirby Smart hire. He is planning on taking a Sooners official visit before deciding. I have had him as a Sooners commitment prediction on previous lists, but Georgia is definitely trending upward for Price. That being said an elite left tackle prospect, has to be at or near the top of any wishlist.
Bledsoe will have seemingly an interesting decision on the horizon. Does he stay at home and play for the Jayhawks or head south to Norman? I am not ready to claim the Jayhawks the winner in this sweepstakes, but they are definitely making things interesting.
Hey one can dream right? Juarez will barring something crazy stay on the west coast (USC/UCLA), but adding him to the Sooners would be incredible.
Southall is easily one of my favorite recruits in the class of 2016. While he has kinda flown under the radar. Regardless of his ranking, I believe he has the potential to be the best player in the Sooners class.
Assuming he can qualify, Moore has the talent to star at the next level. This seems to be a Bedlam battle and the Sooners appear to be out in front.
Again Burton appears to be a player that will stay on the west coast, but the Sooners definitely have a better than fighting chance.
Jackson is currently committed to A&M, but rumors swirl that he will visit both Texas and OU. This is a battle that I believe the Sooners have a real chance to win.
