The Oklahoma Sooners move to 8-0 on the year with an 87-74 win over the Creighton Bluejays in Norman, Oklahoma. With Creighton pulling to within one point, the pressure was on. But, Buddy Hield took over the game scoring nine consecutive points. The effort from the preseason All-American sealed another victory for Lon Kruger as OU remained undefeated. Hield, finished the outing with a career high 33-points.

On the offensive side of the court, Hield received help from Jordan Woodard. Over the course of forty minutes, the junior guard added 15 points to go alongside seven rebounds while Isaiah Cousins collected another ten points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Outscoring the Bluejays 36-26 in the paint, one would think Ryan Spangler contributed significantly to that number. However, the forward finished with five points on 2-of-7 shooting but pulled down a game high 15 rebounds.

For Creighton, three players scored in double digits including Maurice Watson Jr. The former Boston University point guard scored 19 points to lead the Bluejays in the category. Yet, Isaiah Zierden never found a rhythm shooting the ball. Throwing up eight shots, Creighton's leading score connected on two attempts finishing with six points.

Oklahoma continues to rely heavily on it's starting five and sparingly on the bench players. Only two players off the bench recorded 10+ minutes on the afternoon. Moving forward, the Oklahoma Sooners will travel to Hawaii for a second time. This go around the team faces Washington State in the Diamond Head Classic on December 22nd.
