Sooners Add Major JUCO OL Help on JUCO Signing Day

The Sooners are set to lost both Ty Darlington and Nila Kasitati at the conclusion of their playoff run. When you combine that with the likely move of Jonathan Alvarez to center, and the Sooners will need some players to be ready to step in at offensive guard. They likely found at least part of the solution today as they picked up two interior offensive lineman in Ben Powers and Ashton Julious.

Ben Powers 6-5/315 from Bulter County Community College

Powers is your prototypical mauler at guard. While he doesn't have the feet to excel at tackle, he should provide a huge asset to the Sooners next season at guard, with his ability to deliver crushing blocks on the interior.

Ashton Julious 6-6/330 from Lackawanna Community College

Julious could easily slide to right tackle should the situation present itself, but the Sooners most likely see him making an impact at guard.

In a bit of a surprise, Sooners JUCO WR Ryan Parker is not a mid year enrollee, but will join the Sooners in the summer.
