The recruiting train continues as the Sooners have landed a verbal commitment from class of 2016 JUCO OL Bennett Powers 6-5/315. Powers tweeted out his commitment announcement with the following tweet.
I am honored to announce that I have committed to the University of Oklahoma. Boomer Soooner! #OUDNA pic.twitter.com/NC6SEdo1fh

Powers has seen his recruitment take off over the past few weeks picking up offers from TCU, TTech, KSU, Illinois, and the Sooners. He is a unique recruit in that he was a full qualifier out of high school which means he is eligible to transfer after his freshman year. That means he can redshirt and still have 3 years of eligibility. As far as the kind of player the Sooners are getting, Scout.com says that he is in the mix to be the #1 ranked Guard/Center in their JUCO rankings.
Here is short clip of Powers in action.
