On Monday, the Big 12 Conference revealed the defensive player of the week...Eric Striker. Fast forward to Tuesday morning as the linebacker adds two national honors to the résumé. After racking up a career high twelve tackles to go along side three tackles for loss and a forced fumble, Striker was tabbed as the AutoNation National Player of the Week by the Football Writer's Association of America.

In conjunction with the award AutoNation decided to donate $1,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in Striker's name. However, that's only the first national honor given to the senior after his performance agains the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Setting the school record for sacks from the linebacker position at eighteen with two on Saturday, Striker also earned the label of Lott IMPACT Player of the Week. The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, sponsors of the Lott IMPACT Trophy, is set to donate $1,000 to the general scholarship fund at the University of Oklahoma.

Congratulations Striker!
