Week 7 in college football saw a lot of craziness. Michigan-Michigan State had the craziest finish to a college football game since the 2013 Iron Bowl and Les Miles called for a fake field goal that went for a touchdown which ended up being the difference in the game. In the Big 12, Baylor's offense scored 60 points yet again and Oklahoma bounced back in a big way after last week's loss to Texas.
The Longhorns and Cowboys took the week off, which means Oklahoma State is still undefeated and Texas still doesn't know how good they really are.
Iowa State had an upset brewing in Ames, Iowa before TCU scored 31 unanswered points to win 45-21. Kansas and Texas Tech played pretty bad, with a late pick six sealing the win for the Red Raiders. Texas Tech is now 5-2 on the season but may as well finish 6-6.
Kansas still hasn't won a game this year, but their case for worst team in college football took a small hit last weekend when they nearly beat Tech (three of their next four games are against ranked opponents, so they still have a chance to prove they're the worst of the worst). But hey? No worries Jayhawks fans. Basketball season is right around the corner.
Oklahoma dismantled Kansas State in every way possible and now enter their easiest three game stretch of the season with Iowa State, Kansas, and Texas Tech all on deck. If they win those three then Baylor-OU should have big playoff implications. It will be Baylor's chance to add a big win on the resume and a chance for the Sooners to propel themselves back into the thick of the playoff race.
Oh and as if it couldn't get any worse for West Virginia, TCU is their next game after their bye this week. Which means there's a good chance that the Mountaineers go from 3-0 to 3-4 on the season. Yikes.
