It's no secret that Jerry Montgomery is an elite recruiter. In fact according to Jeremy Crabtree who has followed recruiting for his entire life at places such as Rivals.com and not ESPN had this to say about Montgomery on twitter.

Well on January 8th, Montgomery took his recruiting to an entirely different level as he basically recruited an entire football team and documented it all on twitter. It required those that follow him to know their US area codes. What follows below is the tweets from Montgomery and what players they pertain to.

This tweet was directed at recent 2015 DB offer Antoine Stephens

Stephens has seen his recruitment take off picking up offers from OU, Washington St, TTech, Baylor, and Louisville.

We are not sure who this recruit is at this time. It's a Colorado area code, but could be a recruit that moved from Colorado.

This could be any number of recruits, but the area code is from Northeast Texas. We believe it is 2016 DE McTelvin Agim __________________________________________________________________

This was a conversation with 2016 DE Isaiah Chambers

This could be one of two players, either linebacker Josh Smith or WR Van Jefferson but we believe it is Jefferson

This is Sooner LB commit Ricky DeBerry

This is 2016 DE Amani Bledsoe

This is 2015 Safety Justin Reid

We joking tweeted this but it might just be true.

If it wasn't clear before, it should be abundantly clear why Montgomery was promoted to Co-Defensive Coordinator.
