Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting / Gabriel Campbell Commits to Sooners

One of the most eventful days in Bob Stoops tenure has just been topped off with a high. Yazoo City, MS DE Gabriel Campbell just verbally committed to the Sooners.

Bob Pryzbolo of Scout.com confirmed the commitment via twitter:

Gabriel Campbell possesses the size 6'6" 250-260lbs to develop into an absolute star at DE in the 3-4. Campbell had offers from Bama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss State, and Arkansas. This is the second recruit out of Mississippi that the Sooners have received in this class.. That is no small task.

In case you had to guess Gabriel Campbell was recruited primarily by Jerry Montgomery. Basically Jerry Montgomery has taken the lead on every defensive recruit left on OU's board.

Gabriel is the 19th commitment for the class of 2015. Look for the Sooners to receive around 6 additional commitments before National Signing Day.
