If there were ever a must get recruit for the class of 2015, it would be Arthur McGinnis. The New Orleans native would (if he commits) join Ricky DeBerry as the only 2 linebackers for the class of 2015. While we don't have the time(or space) to rehash everything regarding linebacker recruiting in this year's class, we all know it's been bad.
Arthur confirmed his visit via twitter.
On my way to #SoonerLand

The Sooners have several angles working in their favor as Arthur is down to TTech and Arizona along with the Sooners.
1) The depth chart. The Sooners play 4 linebackers in their base defense and if McGinnis were to join Ricky DeBerry the Sooners would have 11 linebackers on scholarship. McGinnis would nearly walk into the 2 deep.
2) The prestige of the Sooner program. While this may not be the deciding factor, the Sooners are clearly light years ahead of both TTech and Arizona.
3) Getting the last visit. McGinnis will leave Norman with the Sooners fresh on his mind and not have the opportunity to visit any additional schools. Getting a player to visit is big, being the last visit he takes is even bigger.
Here's to hoping that only National Signing Day, Arthur McGinnis is a part of the class of 2015. I would predict that he is.
