Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting / Sooners Make In-State Offer

It was never a question of talent for Lawton, OK standout Darreyl Patterson, but it was about qualifying. Patterson is an elite athlete that stars at corner. Ironically he is teammates with Jalin Barnett (who has had an interesting recruitment to say the least.

Darreyl Patterson possesses good size 6'0" and has the tools to excel at the next level. He recently received the ACT score necessary and his recruitment began to take off. Patterson picked up offers from Arizona State, Kansas State, and Washington State over the past few weeks. Today the Sooners extended a scholarship to Patterson. He tweeted out to let everyone know:

I don't think it's hard to notice Patterson's excitement. He has been retweeting almost everything that any Sooner fan has tweeted to him today. While this may be an uneducated guess, I would put the Sooners firmly in the drivers seat for Patterson.

I also happen to wonder if things could be worked out with Patterson's teammate Jalin Barnett.
