We are just are about 2 1/2 weeks from National Signing Day and the Sooner coaches once again are out hitting the road seeking out the last few players to round out this class. Here are some tidbits on what is taking place in the Sooner recruiting world.

Nate Dalton

This tweet caught me off guard. I honestly had Dalton pegged as a Sooner commit in this class. It is quite possible that the Sooners like where they sit with new commit Antoine Stephens, weekend visitor Darreyl Patterson, and Safety Justin Reid.

This plane was headed to Tennessee to see recent official visitor WR Van Jefferson and LB Josh Smith

Louis Brown was once a Horn commit. He was high on the Sooners list for OLB and he tweeted that he decommitted from the Longhorns while on his official visit.

He was soon followed by Jerry Montgomery and a host of Sooner coaches. Today he tweeted out this:

This has become the hashtag for the Sooners recruiting class #JustWaitOnIt. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Sooners host Louis Brown as an official visitor before National Signing Day.

Ryan Newsome

The star slot WR recently released a top 2 of Texas and UCLA, but that won't stop the Sooners from doing what they can do to get back in the race.

Bob Pryzbolo tweeted,

Newsome also hosted next Texas WR coach Jay Norvell today.

It looks like to me those Horns are pointing down :)

Kareem Orr

The Tennessee cornerback was thought to be pretty high on the Sooners, but recently picked up an offer from Ohio St over the weekend.

Several tweets confirmed that Orr and the Sooners were done

It is very likely that the Sooners find themselves full at the position. It should be no coincidence that both Dalton and Orr no longer have the Sooners on their list the day after both Stephens and Patterson visit.

Marquise Overton

News came out that Marquise needed some work to do in the classroom. There were questions as to whether he would end up a part of this class. Marquise tweeted that he talked to Mike Stoops today. We are hoping that Marquise gets these issues worked out and finds himself a part of the class of 2015.

At the time of this article the Sooner coaches are still out on the road recruiting. Expect more updates later this evening!!
