The Oklahoma Sooners picked up their 19th commitment for the 2015 recruiting class in corner Antoine Stephens. A 6-2/187 product from the Dallas area, Stephens is listed as a 3-star prospect by Rivals. He has drawn interest from nearly a dozen schools and turned down scholarship offers from Baylor, Louisville, SMU, Texas Tech, and Washington State to commit to the Sooners.
Jay Boulware was the lead recruiter on Stephens who was on campus over the weekend. Boulware is still working on defensive backs Jamile Johnson and Darreyl Patterson, along with tight ends Josh Moore and C.J. O'Grady. Patterson was also on campus over the weekend.
As Oklahoma's 19th commitment for 2015, Stephens is the next in what is becoming a class that is gaining momentum on the defensive side of the ball. Including Stephens, there are currently nine defensive players committed in this class. Even more importantly, he fits in at a need spot within Oklahoma's secondary.
