Two weeks ago, the Oklahoma Sooners' TaShawn Thomas poured in 24 points against the Baylor Bears showing the ability to compete in a physical and tough Big XII Conference. The effort earned him conference newcomer of the week honors. Fast forward to this week and the 6-8 forward continues to show off more than just a scoring prowess.
Against a top then opponent in Texas at the time, the "undersized" Thomas recorded a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. He followed up the performance with yet another double-double against Kansas St. dropping 14 points to go alongside another 11 rebounds. I'd say the kid has adjusted to the Big XII and his role on this squad very well.
Congrats TaShawn! Continue to make Sooner Nation proud as opposing teams are forced to #TakeNotice.
Oklahoma takes to the road on Tuesday to face the West Virginia Mountaineers and will once again rely on the productivity of Thomas in the paint to help carry the team to victory.
