Yesterday, we warned fans to pump the breaks on the potential news of the Oklahoma Sooners moving forward with Lincoln Riley as the new play-caller and offensive coordinator. As the search continues the current East Carolina coordinator draws both praise and criticism.
Some fans are simply excited about the potential hire as former employers shared their positive opinion of the coach.

Riley, a product of Leach while at Texas Tech, continues being touted as "one of the sharpest coaches" and offensive minds in the game. However, the offensive coordinator candidate would likely bring with him an "Air-Raid" style of play. Questions remain such as, why replace one Leach disciple with another? Clearly, the running backs are the Sooners' best asset on the offensive side of the ball.
Am I the only one out there that thinks Lincoln Riley and the air raid doesn't make a whole lot of sense? I'm sensing big time smoke screen!

Not everyone was a fan, but that's to be expected.
Lincoln Riley leaves ECU, which means no more 3rd and 12 draw plays.
