Oklahoma Sooners Coaching Search | Bob Stoops & Lincoln Riley Set To Talk Today

Per Stephen Igoe of Hoist the Colours, a 247Sports page dedicated to the East Carolina Pirates, offensive cooridinator candidate Lincoln Riley and Oklahoma head coach, Bob Stoop are expected to talk today.

Yesterday, we warned fans to pump the breaks on the potential news of the Oklahoma Sooners moving forward with Lincoln Riley as the new play-caller and offensive coordinator. As the search continues the current East Carolina coordinator draws both praise and criticism.

Some fans are simply excited about the potential hire as former employers shared their positive opinion of the coach.

Riley, a product of Leach while at Texas Tech, continues being touted as "one of the sharpest coaches" and offensive minds in the game. However, the offensive coordinator candidate would likely bring with him an "Air-Raid" style of play. Questions remain such as, why replace one Leach disciple with another? Clearly, the running backs are the Sooners' best asset on the offensive side of the ball.

Not everyone was a fan, but that's to be expected.

So SoonerNation, what is your take on Lincoln Riley?
