Oklahoma Sooners Recruiting | Elite 2015 LB Set to Visit This Weekend

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Outside of the offensive line, the most needed position to fill in the class of 2015 is linebacker. Outside of Striker and Grissom OU has lots of unproven talent at the position. Because of this, adding 3 to 4 linebackers in the class of 2015 will be necessary. The Sooners might just find their answer in Ricky DeBerry.

Ricky DeBerry (6'2" 245 lbs.) is one of the top linebackers in the class of 2015. He is a consensus 4 star player who hails from Richmond, Virginia and has offers from across the country (tOSU, USC, Florida, Bama, Texas A&M, and OU to name a few).

DeBerry tweeted some great news for the Sooners today announcing that he will take his official visit to Norman this weekend to watch the Sooners take on the Volunteers

DeBerry would fill a huge need in this class and could easily find himself sliding into the MLB position next year.

If you are wondering about the type of player DeBerry is check out this film (these highlights are from 2011). I apologize for the music.

Considering the Sooners and Volunteers are both high on DeBerry's list, a huge win this weekend could go a long ways to putting the Sooners in the driver's seat for DeBerry.
