A big of good news came out of Monday's Big XII coaches teleconference where Oklahoma Head Coach Bob Stoops said that cornerback Zack Sanchez is expected to practice this week and play in Saturday night's nationally televised game against Tennessee.
Oklahoma's top corner left the Tulsa game in the first half with what appeared to be a shoulder injury following a hit on the sideline. He was replaced by freshman Jordan Thomas and while the Sooners went on to win 52-7 Tulsa threw at Thomas quite often.
Sanchez, a Freshman All-American in 2013, is off to a terrific start in 2014. In Oklahoma's opener he recorded three tackles, an interception, and a blocked field goal. In the Tulsa game he had recorded a tackle and another interception before suffering the injury that left on the sidelines in a track suit and his right arm in a sling for the second half.
