It was sloppy at times, both the condition of the turf and the level of play, but the Sooners were once again dominant over a team that they were supposed to be. Trevor Knight threw for 299 yards and two scores while also running for 35 yards and another. Sterling Shepard had a career day with 177 yards and a score. Oklahoma also averaged 8.4 yards per rush against a porous Tulsa defense.
On the other side of the ball the Sooners were stingy again on defense, allowing only a second half touchdown. Tulsa ended up with 328 total yards but had less that 100 at the half. The big story for Oklahoma's defense is going to be the health of All-American cornerback Zack Sanchez who left the game with an apparent shoulder injury.
We'll have much more in the way of coverage and recaps here at Crimson And Cream Machine as the day continues on but for now this is the place to leave your postgame comments.
