The 2009 football season was especially trying for Oklahoma. A runner up in the BCS championship the season before, the Sooners lost All American tight end Jermaine Gresham in the preseason and then Heisman winning quarterback Sam Bradford went down in the opener against BYU.
The Sooners rebounded to make the most of the season, eventually earning a berth in the Sun Bowl, and they put an exclamation mark on the season by shutting out Oklahoma State 27-0 in the Bedlam game.
Fun Fact: Oklahoma has recorded more shutouts in Bedlam Football than Oklahoma State has wins.
