The Oklahoma Sooners continue to ramp up their nonconference scheduling. After facing opponents like Florida St. from the ACC, an independent in Notre Dame, and now Tennessee from the SEC, it appears that Joe Catiglione wanted to expand the horizons. That leads us to the announcement of the Sooners playing a home-and-home series against the Michigan Wolverines from the Big Ten.
We remain committed to playing games that celebrate the history and excitement of college football. Oklahoma and Michigan represent two of the most iconic names in American sport and we look forward to a series that will be marked by mutual respect and admiration. - Joe Castiglione via NewsOK
As far as scheduling is concerned, the Wolverines will travel to Norman on September 6th, 2025 while Oklahoma makes the trip to Ann Arbor on September 12, 2026.
The match-up marks the third future home-and-home series against a Big Ten opponent. Of course, big news hit when the Sooners decided to renew a rivalry with Nebraska in 2021 and 2022. But, Oklahoma also has Ohio St. on a future schedule which is just around the corner in 2016 and 2017.
