2014 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 46 Days!

USA TODAY Sports

In Landry Jones' last start at home as an Oklahoma Sooner, he found himself in a dicey situation. With the Oklahoma St. Cowboys clinging to a 45-38 lead, the home team took over at their own 14-yard line. After a false start, the Sooners faced a 3rd-and-8 situation as fans moved toward the edge of their seats. However, Jones came up big delivering a strike to Jalen Saunders for the first down while gaining momentum on a final drive.

Six completions later, the offense had moved inside the OSU 5-yard line resulting in the Belldozer Formation taking the field. From four yards out, Blake Bell plowed into the endzone to secure another Bedlam victory for the Sooners with four seconds remaining on the clock.

During the game, Jones completed a record 46 passes on another record 71 attempts. He finished with 500 yards and three touchdowns going out with bang. Love him or hate him, fans cannot deny that Jones was the sole reason Oklahoma pulled out the win in November of 2012.
