In 1999, the Oklahoma Sooners played host to the No. 10 ranked Texas A&M Aggies. With nearly 75,000 fans flooding into Memorial stadium and a national TV audience, the opening kickoff was returned for 53 yards to set up Josh Heupel for a plunge into the endzone. The score capped a 9-play 40 yard drive and the tone was set.
Before it was all said and done, Oklahoma racked up 552 yards of offense with 387 coming through the air and another 165 on the ground. However, it was the defense that shined holding the Aggies to a mere 230 yards of offense (64 on the ground). The combined effort gave the Sooners a 51-6 victory during Homecoming Weekend.
