New Oklahoma Sooners Football Uniforms Put Tradition Against Recruiting

When it comes to tradition in college football there aren't many programs that can boast more than the Sooners. Seven national titles, 47-game winning streak, and the best record in the modern era, just to name a few. One of the things that you could always bank on when watching the Oklahoma take the field was the traditional uniforms but that's about to change.

In the current era of college football recruiting, uniform options have become just as important as winning and tradition and that has changed everything in the landscape of the sport. Now Oklahoma is on board after unveiling their alternate uniforms that will compliment their traditional ones.

It's important to note two things here. One, these uniforms were unveiled as the threads that will "occasionally supplement" the traditional ones. Two, these new alternate uniforms are designed around the tradition of the Oklahoma Football program and by their nature are the tradition of the Sooner program. Its the best of both worlds for OU with new flash that represents the long-standing tradition of Oklahoma football. What recruit wouldn't want to sport those duds?
