Oklahoma's Shelby Pendley literally did everything within her power to spur the Sooners on in the Women's College World Series. The Junior from Rio Rancho, New Mexico went 4-9 from the plate in OU's three World Series games with two home runs. She also pitched four innings in the tournament, fanning three batters in the process.
On Tuesday evening, shortly after Florida clinched the World Series championship, Pendley was named to the Women's World Series All-Tournament Team. She was the only Oklahoma softball player named to the squad and was joined by players from Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Kentucky, and Oregon.
