2014 Oklahoma Sooners Football Countdown To Kickoff | 78 Days!

Oklahoma was awarded with their third Heisman Trophy winner in 1978

Billy Sims ended his career at Oklahoma with 3,813 rushing yards and became OU's third Heisman Trophy winner in 1978, following his junior season. He was also a consensus All-American in 1978 and 1979.

In 1980 the Detroit Lions selected Sims as the top overall pick in the NFL draft.
