Sooners on Top for JUCO Tackle

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

Reports have surfaced that Junior College Offensive Tackle Jamal Danley has the Sooners at the top alongside Mississippi State.

Danley attends East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, MS. If that school rings a bell, it's because it is the same school that produced talented OU WR Lacoltan Bester.

Jamal Danley 6'5' 305lbs has offers from LSU, Cincinnati, and Missouri to go along with his offers from the Sooners and Bulldogs. The Sooners have positioned themselves well, but have a major obstacle to overcome. This obstacle is that Danley is from Mississippi, which could make the Bulldogs a strong favorite.

The key for the Sooners will be to get Danley on an official visit and make a huge impression. If this were merely a football decision than choosing the Sooners over the Bulldogs would be a no brainer. Recruiting however is often much more complicated than that.

Danley would fill a huge void for the class of 2015 with the departure of Tyrus Thompson and Daryl Williams.
