Four Sooners Receive Big XII Baseball All-Conference Honors

Oklahoma's Craig Aikin, Mac James, and Sheldon Neuse were named to the Big Twelve's All-Conference Baseball Team on Tuesday.

Neuse (Also the Big XII Freshman of the Year) was a unanimous selection to the first team. He hit .290 on the year with team highs in home runs (7) and RBI (40). Neuse rotated around multiple positions in the infield including ten appearances on the mound.

Mac James is the ultimate utility guy and was awarded by joining Neuse on the first team. He led the Sooners with a .348 batting average, which was also the third best in the conference. James was second on the team in home runs (5) and RBI (39).

Craig Aikin was named to the Big Twelve's second team after a productive sophomore campaign. He was second on the team with a .305 batting average this season.

Owasso native Austin O'Brien was named to the Big Twelve's All-Freshman team, along with Neuse. He made 22 starts, and 37 appearances, on the year and batted .290 with two home runs and 20 RBI.

O'Brien and Hunter Haley were also Honorable Mentions for the All-Conference team.
