Red-White Game Recruiting Update

Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

The Sooners hosted a number of recruits for the annual Red-White game today. It's impossible to know every player in attendance but it is safe to say that OU is putting in the work for the class of 2015 and beyond. Below are some tidbits on players who were in attendance this afternoon.

1. Tim Settle 6'2 297lbs DT from Manassas, VA. Settle has offers from the like of Bama. FSU, UGA, tOSU, USC, and Texas A&M to go along with his Sooner offer.

2. C.J. O'Grady 6'4 230 lbs. TE from Fayetteville, Ark. O'Grady has offers from Ark, Tex, Boise St., and Louisville to go along with his Sooner offer.

3. Jared Mayden II 6'0 187lbs CB from Sachse. TX. Mayden is an elite corner who will hopefully be apart of the class of 2016. His father is former Sooner center James Mayden. Jared already has offers from Baylor, Texas, TCU, Texas A&M, and Wisconsin. He was really excited after his offer today.

A bunch of other recruits made the trip as well. One of the biggest of these (literally) was Jalin Barnett. He was with his teammate and possible future Sooner, Darreyl Patterson. Patterson has some work to do in the classroom, but has major skills to make it as a college DB.

Patterson makes no attempt to hide the fact that he would basically commit on the spot if the Sooners were to extend an offer. Don't be surprised if both Barnett and Patterson are apart of the class of 2015.

There were numerous other recruits in attendance. Look for more over the next few days as the Sooner coaches put in a bunch of work over the past few days that should pay huge dividends in the class of 2015 and beyond.
