Rich DeCray SBN

Since day one Sheldon Neuse has made an impact in Oklahoma's baseball line up. The freshman from Fort Worth, TX is batting .300 on the year with six doubles, four triples, and two home runs. Last week he helped the Sooners go 4-0 with ridiculous numbers from the plate and was rewarded for it on Monday when he Big Twelve named him the Newcomer of the Week.

Neuse batted .529 for the week and crossed home plate eight times while also driving in two runs. His four doubles and two triples gave him six extra base hits for the week and he also tallied a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Joining Mac James, noise becomes the second Sooners baseball player to be awarded a weekly honor. James was named the Big Twelve's last Monday.

The Sooners are back in action, at home, on Tuesday night when they take on TCU in a non-conference game.
