Walk This Way! - Sooners Do It Again!

Drama, oh yeah we've got your drama! For the third consecutive game the Oklahoma Sooners get an extra inning hit to win and for the second consecutive game it was in walk off fashion. After Taylor Alspaugh's base hit in the tenth led the Sooners to victory on Tuesday night, he encored Friday with a tenth inning walk off home run.

On Saturday afternoon the Sooners found themselves in what has become a familiar situation. With the game tied 5-5 in the 1tth it was Anthony Hermelyn who delivered the RBI double to win the game.

The Sooners out hit Belmont 12-10 and posted runs in the first (2),  fifth, sixth, seventh, and eleventh innings to win their second game of the series. It was also the second time in this series that Oklahoma had to mount a comeback late in the game. OU trailed the Bruins 4-3 going into the bottom of the sixth inning.

Ralph Garza has potentially benefited the most from Oklahoma's late game heroics. The Sooner closer picked up his third consecutive victory in as many appearances and now has a 3-0 record on the year. Starter Adam Choplick went seven innings with seven strikeouts but also gave up four runs off seven hits.

Five Oklahoma batters recorded a multi-hit game on Saturday.

The Sooners will go for the sweep of Belmont on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for Noon.
