Oklahoma's Mac James Named Big Twelve Player Of The Week

If you're on the outside looking in you may not know the name Mac James. However, you can't be a fan of Oklahoma baseball and be unaware of how vital he is to OU's 2014 campaign. James leads the Big XII in batting average (.517), hits (30), doubles (9), and is tied for the conference lead in RBI (16). Oklahoma can't keep him a secret anymore though.

On Monday James was named the Big Twelve Baseball Player of the Week. In five games last week, two against Abilene Christian and three against Rutgers, he went 13-for-19 from the plate (.684) to help the Sooners go 4-1 during that stretch.

Currently riding an eight-game hitting streak, James had two perfect games from the plate last week. On Wednesday he went 3-for-3 against Abilene Christian and on Sunday he was 4-for-4 in the finale against Rutgers. By week's end he had tallied six runs scored and six RBI.

Congrats Mac!
