Yes, you read the headline correctly. The Sooners have added one more player for the class of 2014. This player is deep snapper Wesley Horky from Ravenwood Highschool in Brentwood, TN. Horky checks in at 6'2" 210lbs. and makes commitment number 27 for the class of 2014.

Wesley confirmed his commitment on twitter

There are two interesting subplots with this commitment. First, Horky puts the Sooners at 86 scholarships going into spring practice. The Sooners must be at 85 before the beginning of the season. This means that another member of the class of 2014 will not qualify or a current player on scholarship will either transfer or leave the team. Another option would be a player being ineligible or dismissed from the team. Many have pointed out the possibility of OT Orlando Brown having to attend prep school. This will be interesting to watch heading into the next season.

Second. the Sooners have made special teams an even bigger priority. Hopefully the days of Jimmy Stevens and terrible KO and PR coverage have come to an end. Jay Boulware appears to be making his mark as a special teams coach.
