There has been quite a bit of unrest concerning the recruitment process of in-state product, Deondre Clark. After being committed to LSU and planning out five official visits, a twist occurred. Per his mother's tweet, news broke on Clark making a surprise stop in Norman on January weekend.
Change of Plans @ClarkBoy_2 will be in Norman Oklahoma this weekend....How many retweets for this announcement. Yeah......

Considered to be in the running, the Oklahoma Sooners coaching staff made a late push for the talented defensive end. All that was left was to wait for the announcement on National Signing Day. However, that was only the start of a debacle as George Schroeder, an LSU insider, tweeted out the following on NSD:
LSU has received the signed letter of intent from OKC Douglass DE Deondre Clark. #SigningDaySMG

With OKC schools closed for weather it was uncertain if Deondre Clark would sign today. Committed to LSU, considered OU--signed with Tigers.

Clark further supported the statement with his own tweet going out on the interwebs several hours later:
I was warned people would flip out after signing but can I get a chance to enjoy it first. SMH

Since then, Dorshell (the mother of Deondre), has refuted the statement officially to the Oklahoman. But, it's tough to believe a letter of intent has yet to be signed and a decision yet to be made. ESPN as well as Rivals.com have also confirmed Schroeder's claim much to the dismay of the Clarks.
Although the family is keeping quiet to let Deondre have his moment in the spotlight due to OKC Public Schools being closed for weather, Sooner Nation should be warned. Committed to LSU since July of 2013, OU put together a final rallying cry all but stirring things up. Yet, the chances of Oklahoma flipping him remain slim. Regardless of how narrow the odds seem, Sooner fans continue to hold on to three simple words...
@MrReynolds12 @GeorgeSchroeder Nothing is final...

The official announcement is expected to be released in front of Clark's peers on Monday, February 10th at 2:00 PM CST according to NewsOK. If everything goes down as expected, Clark would make the 23rd signee for the LSU Tigers 2014 Class.
You can't win 'em all...
